Taylor Swift hasn't graduated from high school yet, but she's already smart enough to know the secret to success in country music.
"I think the first thing you should know is that nobody in country music 'made it' the same way," says the 17-year-old singer-songwriter who won the coveted Horizon Award at last week's CMA Awards. "It's all different.

Nothing to do with the book, but Hot Stupid is half naked
I can’t say this enough, but I am truly glad I waited until the first season of True Blood to wrap before I read the book, ‘Dead Until Dark.’ I was hearing the grumblings about the plot differences, and now I get it. So, why the major changes? And again why no Bubba?

On the set of their hit CW show, Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester revealed the first concerts they ever attended.
Blake Lively: “The first concert I ever went to, ironically enough because she performed on our show [Gossip Girl] was Lisa Loeb. I waited outside the Roxy for hours when I was a kid with my brother and we actually got to see her come in the door because we got there hours before her.

Well, it pales in comparison to what, I’m sure, they would rather being doing but the U.S. troops that are stationed worldwide will be able to watch broadcasts of recent concerts by Beyoncé, Garth Brooks and Celine Dion on New Years Eve.
The show will start at 9pm Iraqi time with Celine Dion’s "A New Day" show from Las Vegas (it just ended this month after a 5-year run).

Review by MSN Music
Keith Urban's sophomore issue on Capitol is an early yet devastatingly original piece of work that pointed the way toward the album's Be Here and Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy thing in 2004 and 2006, respectively. Urban is partially responsible for the diverse musical traditions that make their way into the contemporary country music scene of the 21st century. While others like Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Travis Tritt and the like modeled a sound that included Southern and '70s rock, Urban brought bluegrass, Top 40 pop stylings, and drum loops into the mix as well and made them all work in his own songs as well as those he covered.
