Things got off to a very good start today with Paramount Pictures as the first panel to kick off Comic-Con in San Diego Convention Center's monstrous Hall H. They brought with them a slew of goodies, including some casting announcements and footage.
Hot Rod
Paramount had so much to offer in their 2 hour slot that everyone was a bit rushed.

I seriously don’t think any writers returned to work after the writers strike, because Hollywood has officially run out of ideas. There are no more, because we are now getting a “reboot” of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
This time even Joss Whedon had the sense to just say no.

Randy Pausch, the Carnegie Mellon computer-sciences professor who became an Internet sensation for his upbeat and funny "last lecture" while battling terminal pancreatic cancer, died Friday at his Virginia home at the age of 47, USA Today reports.
In the September 2007 lecture, entitled "Achieving Your Childhood Dreams," an upbeat Pausch commented on everything from education and leadership to dating and his love of Star Trek. I'm sure many people watch and deconstruct Lost without the benefit of the Internet and the astonishing amount of clues that are on it, but I don't know why you would! Lost is perhaps the first traditional TV show that's extremely interactive (check my gadget review)! Since its 2004 debut, the show has spawned movie clues (remember J.J.

In the based-on-a-true story Sundance movie Bottle Shock, Chris Pine stars opposite Bill Pullman as one half of a California wine-making duo whose ''perfect'' Chardonnay impressed the merde out of the French at a 1976 blind tasting. The day after the film's premiere, we cornered young Mr. Pine in the EW photo lounge to chat about his first Sundance experience, as well as some other movie he's in whose title rhymes with ''Far Schmeck.''
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Are you enjoying Sundance?
CHRIS PINE: I'm only here for a very short time, so I'm going to cram in as much fun as possible.
