Via People.com: Angelina Jolie's brother, James Haven, looks on in wonder at his sister's children with Brad Pitt.
"They're unbelievable," Haven, 34, an activist for AIDS and human rights causes, tells Marie Claire in November's issue. "Zahara likes to hide from Angie, who always knows, right when she walks in the room, that Z's playing."

Nonie Darwish, the executive director of Former Muslims United and author of Cruel And Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law, was scheduled to speak at Columbia and Princeton last week, but both events were canceled under pressure from Muslim groups on campus.
Darwish, a soft-spoken ex-Muslim and daughter of an Islamic martyr, is a champion of the rights of women and non-Muslims in Islamic societies, and leader of the group Arabs for Israel. She had been planning to speak on “Sharia Law and Perspectives on Israel.” She is one of the few courageous voices who speak out against Islamic anti-Semitism and the oppression of women under Sharia.

I must admit- I am not very good with wearing colors. I always wear black. When I look into my closet, I see blacks...call me boring but I can't help it. I just love it. Black has never disappointed me.
This has a lot to do with my mother. My mother worked in the fashion industry for many many years and her wardrobe staples are from Yohji Yamamoto, Comme Des Garcons and Issay Miyake...all in black.
It's not that I haven't made an attempt on colors. The reactions vary among friends and family. One day, I wore Elizabeth and James Lucinda dress in cerise. (BTW, this dress is so versatile: you can wear as a boat-neck, one shouler or strapless, with or without belt, even with statement necklace) My best friend Jenn said, "You, in a pink dress? You must have become soft."
Have I really become soft because I wear pink? Or has the fashion revolution started in my own closet? I think the latter. Every season I look into my closet and go through many magazines and all the fashion sites then I come up with "The List". That way, I won't go too crazy on impulsive buys such as I might wear it, only wear it once, or even might be able to fit into it if I lost weight....and I don't have to explain it to myself later.
So here are some from my list for this season:
I swear I am not having pink fever (Pink is a color I don't remember wearing when growing up)but I think this skirt is a must for the fall. It's super sexy and edgy at the same time. I wear it with Alexander Wang tank or Kain tees then my faux leather jacket will finish the look.
1) Pleasure Doing Business Five Banded Skirt in Hot Pink:
Pleasure Doing Business 5 Band Mini Skirt as seen on MARY-KATE OLSEN
$88.00 at Pink Mascara
This tee has the rock'n roll vibe-with the studs. I wear it with leggings (liquid leggings or lace leggings) and biker boots.

USA Weekend has an awesome new article about Our Love Affair With Vampires. In the article they detail on the Vampire Craze over the years.Oh, did I forget to mention that they also have a new interview with Robert Pattinson? Check out the interview below -To get a modern image of a vampire, Pattinson initially watched movies such as “Interview With the Vampire” and “Blade.” But he really discovered who Edward was by researching outcast roles not involving the undead.

Salut Jacques,
MotoGP contender James Toseland’s dismissal from the premier class reminded me of that old Marlon Brando movie ‘On The Waterfront’, specifically the scene in which failed boxer Terry Malloy confesses to his brother Charlie, “I coulda had class, I coulda been a contender”.Toseland used Burnett language to suggest that Grand Prix still remained an “achievable challenge", and for a guy that's spent two years loitering at the wrong end of a pretty small field I'm guessing that challenge isn't going to be race related but something to do with finding his way to the meetings or pointing his dish the right way. Our hero is set to return to his old stomping ground at WSB where he intends to smash Carl Fogarty’s record of four World Championships and my fingers are crossed that he does well and that his performances can match his aspirations, and a return to winning ways will certainly nurse little Jimmy’s inflated sense of self-importance and need for admiration.Yamaha may have had enough of watching Jimbo the Jet plod round at Grand Prix events but they were certainly shrewd to offer him the WSB ride as he’s shown in the past that he can win titles in style when the competition is limited and there’s no reason to imagine he can’t do it again, and his incredible Championship victory over Bayliss and Biaggi in 2007 is proof enough that when the competition is having a bad year he can be right in there to pick up the pieces. It’s great that our Tozzer is all fired up to be the new Carl Fogarty and I’m really excited at the prospect of watching him win another couple of WSB titles, collecting his MBE, heading off to the Isle of Man to win some TT races and take the lap record and hold it for seven years, then win a few Formula One titles, win the 24 hour race at Le Mans, win the Bol d’Or and take the World Endurance Championship and as long as Jimmy spends his time developing his motorcycle instead of his deltoids then he’s in with a chance right?

I edited this post because the Yahoo story is screwy. It is missing a lot of information that it had earlier.
NEW HAVEN, Connecticut (CNN) -- A Yale University lab technician was arrested Thursday and charged with murder in the slaying of a graduate student whose body was found in the basement wall of an off-campus medical research building, police said.
