I just saw '27 Dresses' with Katherine Heigl and James Marsden. It's about Jane (Heigl) who has been a bridesmaid 27 times, because she loves helping her friends plan their weddings and lets face it she has a hard time saying no. When she's about to be a bridesmaid for the 28th time, on her sister's wedding, her positive attitude starts to turn.

As a lover of all things Disney, I was really bummed that I had all but missed this flick in theaters. When I saw it was nominated, I was so excited to seek it out and cross it off my list.
Giselle (Amy Adams) is a beautiful princess who seeks nothing but a prince to sweep her off her feet.

My Top 5 Quotes: (when Penny speaks)
Motormouth Maybelle: [watching Edna walk in] If we get any more white people in here, this is gonna be a suburb.
Wilbur Turnblad: [to a sobbing Edna, who thinks he's been cheating on her] Honey, it took me five years to realize you were flirting!
[softly]
Wilbur Turnblad: How could I?

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Having nicely established her big-screen credibility with the summer hit "Knocked Up," Katherine Heigl tries a little further "Grey's Anatomy" moonlighting on for size with "27 Dresses."
But while Heigl is terrific, this uninspired romantic comedy is considerably less so.
A tired pastiche of the 27-odd wedding-themed vehicles that preceded it, the film essentially slaps together all the stuff that worked so well the first or second time around, minus any of the original charm or verve.

I was pretty down all weekend and wanted a fluffy little pick-me-up so I went to see Enchanted yesterday morning. I'm glad I did. It's definitely not the type of movie I pay to see but it was uplifting and very cute.

Rated PG
Written by Leslie Dixon (based on the Broadway musical by Mark O'Donnell, which was based on the 1988 screenplay by John Waters)
Directed and Choreographed by Adam Shankman
Starring Nikki Blonsky, John Travolta, Christopher Walken, Michelle Pfeiffer, Brittany Snow, Amanda Bynes, Zac Efron, Queen Latifah, James Marsden
Two things I happen to LOVE are John Waters' 1988 film Hairspray and fun musicals. So I had high hopes for this Hairspray, which was based on the Broadway musical which was based on Waters' movie.
I admit, I'm a teeny bit disappointed.

The televisions tuned to the Corny Collins Show are black-and-white, but the featured dancers on the early-1960s Baltimorean bandstand are all white—except on its once-a-month “Negro Day,” when they’re all black.
But if the plucky and, yes, “pleasantly plump” Tracy Turnblad (newcomer Nicole Blonsky) had anything to say about it, the show she rushes home after school to dance along to would become a frugging frontrunner of racial integration.
