Super producer Jermaine Dupri is set to be honored with a Bill of Rights award next Monday, December 8 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Southern California will honor Dupri with the 2008 Bill of Rights Award along with fellow honoree Earvin “Magic” Johnson.
Dupri joins an elite list of countless pioneers and trailblazers in entertainment recognized by the ACLU of Southern California within the past 50 years including Barbara Streisand, Dustin Hoffman, Martin Scorsese, Rosa Parks, Antonio “LA” Reid, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Harry Belafonte, Ellen Degeneres, Oliver Stone, Sarah Jessica Parker, and more.

Janet Jackson's boyfriend Jermaine Dupri – who announced Thursday that he's heading up brand-new record label, TAG Records – tells PEOPLE that Jackson has fully recovered from the illness that forced her to cancel an appearance on Saturday Night Live last month.
"She's 100-percent better now," says Dupri. "She was really sick.

Justin Timberlake has been slammed by Janet Jackson’s boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri, for failing to support Janet Jackson after her ‘wardrobe malfunction.’
Jackson famously exposed part of her breast whilst performing alongside Timberlake at the half-time Superbowl show in 2004.
The unplanned incident, which shocked millions of TV viewers, was deemed to have been a ‘wardrobe malfunction’ by officials.

Janet Jackson has been released from the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Canadian news network the CBC is reporting.
The 42-year-old singer was discharged after two hours on Monday night, a spokesperson for the hospital told the CBC.
Jackson cancelled her show in Montreal on Monday and was taken to the hospital after she "got suddenly ill" during her sound check, according to a statement from W&W Public Relations.

Gunfire erupted early Saturday at an Atlanta nightclub party sponsored by Jermaine Dupri and attended by music stars Usher, Nelly and Sean "Diddy" Combs. A security guard was reportedly wounded.
