I really like Senator John Edwards. I had a lot of hope for him as a Presidential candidate in 2004 and I was rooting for him to secure the nomination instead of Kerry. He has a very warm personality and seems like a great guy.

Did John Edwards tell the truth during his August 8 Nightline interview about his Rielle Hunter fling?
Expert polygraph examiner Jack Trimarco doesn't think so.
Trimarco (former FBI Unit Chief in Los Angeles) — who analyzed the segment for Usmagazine.com — reports that Edwards' frequent attempts to dodge questions and sketchy body language imply he often lied during the chat.

Some potentially highly explosive stuff here! The National Enquirer reports that they caught former Democratic Presidential candidate John Edwards sneaking into a Beverly Hills hotel at 2 a.m. Tuesday morning, July 22nd, so he could see his Santa Barbara based mistress and their love child!

What's up with John Edwards? If you had him on Google Alert this weekend, your e-mail inbox would have been swamped after the New York Times published a story speculating about whether the two-time Democratic presidential candidate – who has already admitted to two-timing his wife of more than 30 years, Elizabeth Edwards – is ready to admit he fathered a child with a former campaign worker. In August 2008, Edwards, after earlier denials, confirmed that he had an affair with Rielle Hunter, a videographer he met on his 2008 campaign.

WASHINGTON — Democrat John Edwards tried to cut a secret deal with both Barack Obama and perhaps Hillary Clinton during last year's presidential primaries, offering his endorsement in exchange for the vice presidential nomination, according to a new book by Obama's campaign manager.
Edwards' camp made the offer shortly before the South Carolina primary, when Obama and Clinton had split early contests and Edwards apparently believed he had “maximum leverage” to help deliver Southern white votes to whoever would give him the number two spot on the ticket, according to David Plouffe in his book, "The Audacity to Win."
Plouffe said that Obama ruled out any deals.

Health reformers prepare for Senate hurdle
By Edward Luce in Washington
Published: November 8 2009 20:19 | Last updated: November 8 2009 20:19
The first thing Barack Obama did late on Saturday night following the passage of the healthcare bill in the House of Representatives was to phone the heads of three industry lobby groups to thank them for their support. Not included on the list was the largest insurance lobby group, American Health Insurance Plans, which doggedly continues to oppose Democratic reform efforts.
Amid all the late night celebrations after the razor-thin 220-215 vote for the bill, Karen Ignagni, head of AHIP, warned that it would be a much tougher battle to push reform through the Senate in the weeks ahead.

By Shaun Waterman THE WASHINGTON TIMES
