Melissa Etheridge plans to legally tie the knot with her longtime partner, Tammy Lynn Michaels.
But the couple, whose twins turn 2 this month, are still in pre-planning stages. "We're trying to find the right time now actually to go down and do it – [that] is where we're at," Etheridge said Wednesday, according to Extra.

The Stand Up To Cancer event is happening tomorrow, and it is going to be a celebrity-filled night. As we reported last month, several female artists collaborated on a song that serves as an anthem for the cause.

A staffer at the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force confirmed their arrests to Us Weekly.

It gives you a chill to hear about all the celebrity women who have faced breast cancer, many of whom take years to discuss their private battle with the illness. About two weeks ago Sex and The City star Cynthia Nixon went public with the fact that she underwent a lumpectomy and radiation in 2006 at the age of 40 after doctors found a small cancerous lump on a routine mammogram. Nixon is the new spokesperson for the Susan J Komen breast cancer foundation and emphasizes the importance of regular checkups with a gynecologist.

Juno star Ellen Page made fun of the recent speculation that she’s a lesbian during her closing skit on yesterday’s Saturday Night Live.
The 21-year-old actress played a character that “so went gay” at a Melissa Etheridge/Indigo Girls concert.
“I just felt like i was an oil lamp that’s never been lit,” Page said excitedly.

OSLO, Norway (AP) — Uma Thurman will join Tommy Lee Jones as co-host of the Nobel Peace Concert honoring former Vice President Al Gore and the U.N.'s climate change panel, organizers announced Wednesday.
The Dec. 11 concert, held the day after the Nobel Peace Prize is presented in Oslo, draws top music and film stars, and is broadcast to more than 100 countries, a news release said.

In the United States, breast cancer is the third most common cause of cancer death (after lung cancer and colon cancer). In 2007, breast cancer is expected to cause 40,910 deaths (7% of cancer deaths; almost 2% of all deaths) in the U.S.[2] Among women in the U.S., breast cancer is the most common cancer and the second- most common cause of cancer death (after lung cancer).[2] Women in the U.S. have a 1 in 8 lifetime chance of developing invasive breast cancer and a 1 in 33 chance of breast cancer causing their death.
