Hard Candy starts off with a steamy online chat between Hayley (Page), a 14 year-old girl, and Jeff (Wilson), a 32 year-old man. They've been talking for a few weeks and agree to meet in person at a coffee shop. Hayley is intelligent and mature beyond her years and Jeff is handsome and a successful photographer.

I'm assuming everyone's seen this and if you haven't, you should watch it at least 3 times. Watchmen is more than just a graphic novel, it changed the face of comics by proving that something mind blowing, intelligent, and meaningful can come out of the medium. Until Watchmen, the general population assumed comic books were for children; exclusive to tales of super heroes and monsters.

I'm incredibly picky, and probably a little snobby, when it comes to film adaptations. See, this is something I studied extensively in school, and something that really interests me, above all, in the world of film and literature. I wrote my senior thesis on comic book adaptations in film, and based my very first short film in high school off of a Shirley Jackson short story, then again from the same story in college (it was better the second time).

The White-Racism Chorus [Abigail Thernstrom]
Did Attorney General Eric Holder really want honest talk when in February he called for “frank conversations” about race?
“Honest” talk, as the MSM and much of the chattering Left defines it, consists of slamming most whites as racist.
Thus, Jimmy Carter, Maureen Dowd, Rep.

Despite his boldness, Barack Obama seems as fated to fail as were Woodrow Wilson and Jimmy Carter. And for the same reason: a belief in his own righteousness and moral superiority, and a belief that his ideals and his persona count mightily in the modern world.

About six weeks ago there was a story that ticket sales for Katie Holmes’ Broadway debut in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons were lower than expected. You would think that all photos out of Katie grinning maniacally while taking her daughter out past a two year old’s bedtime would help generate publicity and advance sales for the play, but it hasn’t helped. Katie Homes does not seem to be a big box office draw and sales are still low for the play.
