They had everybody talking during their major red carpet entrance. But Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie seemed unable to keep their eyes off each other at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday.
Stealing kisses at their table or just romantic glances, the twosome stuck close, returning to their table together – hand in hand, no less!

1. KNOW WHAT AN AGENT DOES
Why do you even need an agent? Because agents are the gatekeepers to the people who hire you for TV, film, and commercials — the casting directors (CDs) and producers.

WERNERSVILLE, Pa. – In a cold dose of reality for reality TV, Pennsylvania's Labor Department has opened an investigation into whether the hit show "Jon & Kate Plus 8" is complying with state child labor laws.
The TLC series about two parents raising 8-year-old twins and 5-year-old sextuplets drew nearly 10 million viewers for its fifth-season premiere Monday — more than double the audience for its fourth-season finale several weeks ago — following media reports that the parents, Jon and Kate Gosselin, had cheated on each other.

Cate Blanchett was recognized for leading- and supporting-actress performances, and Into the Wild earned four top nods as the nominations for the 14th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced Thursday.
Just as she did at the Golden Globe nominations, Blanchett earned SAG nods for her turns in Elizabeth: The Golden Age and I'm Not There. Meanwhile, Into the Wild, the story of a young man's trip into the wilderness of Alaska, was the only film to boast nominations for a lead-acting performance (Emile Hirsch for best actor) as well as best ensemble cast.

DENIED: Bigotry of the Obamatrons by Charles Winecoff
Recently, at the office (a place I sometimes affectionately refer to as Obama Central), I made the mistake of printing out a Washington Post editorial that questioned the foreign policy expertise of our new Commander-in-Chief. By the time I got to the printer to pick it up, someone else had already seen it - and stamped “DENIED” across the top of the page in red ink. Next to that was scrawled, “RIGHT WINGER GO HOME.”
The first thing that went through my mind was: cross burnings.

House star Hugh Laurie is quietly hoping for an actor’s strike this summer, so he can take some time off.
The Brit confesses he is lazy and loved the three-month break the recent Writer’s Guild strike afforded him.
Actor’s union the SAG (Screen Actor’s Guild) and studio bosses are currently negotiating to avoid a second bout of industrial action - and Laurie won’t be too disappointed if the talks fail.

Despite a plea in February by George Clooney and fellow Oscar winners Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep to avert an actors' strike that could once again shut down the industry, the two Hollywood unions representing performers suddenly split this weekend rather than join forces, as had been hoped for.
On Saturday, just prior to a board meeting set to establish a joint negotiating strategy, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists suspended its bargaining alliance with the larger Screen Actors Guild, The New York Times reports.
The actors' current contract with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers expires on June 30.
