After word came out on Wednesday that Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong had broken up, everyone’s been speculating about who ended it and exactly what went down. According to Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times, Armstrong ended the affair because Hudson was “too needy,” “desperate,” and “smothering him.”
Not only did this column break the news last week about Lance Armstrong splitting with Kate Hudson, I’ve now learned why serial dater Armstrong has moved on.
Seems the Tour de France champ and cancer survival poster boy was feeling a bit ‘’smothered” by the actress.

Autumn is beautiful, but it also means that the leaves are falling and smothering your lawn. So why not skip the gym and clean up some leaves!
Rake the leaves from your lawn or garden about 3 times a week for at least 45 minutes, and you’ll be doing a good amount exercise while beautifying your yard.

I am a huge fan of the show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and recently had the opportunity to see the gang perform the episode live. While at the show, I realized that Mac's costume as the nightman has cat eyes, but instead of contacts, his eyelids are painted so that you see them when his eyes are closed. Knowing this, I decided to try the same look at home.

One of my ultimate comfort food dishes is Chicken and Dumplings. I'm not sure what it is about this dish, but it just always seems to hit the spot. And, best of all, it can be cooked in the slow cooker!

So good, mexican grandmothers have been known to beg me for the recipe.
The recipe varies everytime I make them, but here's how yesterdays batch came together. This made 20 burritos (16 of which we froze).

Across the Middle East, what would never happen in polite company now appears on broadcasts of The Doha Debates – discussion of controversy.
Doha, Qatar; and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
As soon as the cameramen called it a wrap, the audience swarmed onto the TV studio set. Almost giddy with delight, several university students from Saudi Arabia went straight for chairs vacated by the performers and pretended to be stars of the show.

HSBC, one of the biggest banks on the planet, has taken to calling itself "the world's local bank." Starbucks is un-branding at least three of its Seattle outlets, the first of which just reopened as "15th Avenue Coffee and Tea." Winn-Dixie, a 500-outlet supermarket chain, recently launched a new ad campaign under the tagline, "Local flavor since 1956."

Yesterday, the Senate began debate on an economic stimulus package that is intended to get our economy back on track and help Americans who are suffering through these difficult times. Unfortunately, the proposal on the table is big on the giveaways for the special interests and corporate high rollers, yet short on help for ordinary working Americans. I cannot and do not support the package on the table from the Democrats and the Obama Administration.
