Caring for Devil's Ivy
By Brenda Hyde
Scindapsus aureus, also known as devil's ivy or pothos, is a carefree, low light plant perfect for the top of a cupboard, shelf, refrigerator or cabinet. This is actually a very good location for pothos, since it is considered poisonous to humans and pets. I've grown it for years with no problems on the top of my china cabinet, but again, it's out of reach.

It was such a nice feeling finishing French last Friday! The final wasn't as bad as the final for either Chinese or Spanish, which was such a relief...i mean, it wasn't a piece of cake, but at least I didn't have the "Execution Day" song (by the New Pornographers) in my head during it (like I did for Chinese). This is the first time since November that I haven't had to think about studying!

'Obscure Tea-Bagging Operation'
http://www.futureofcapitalism.com/2009/11/obscure-tea-bagging-operation
The Goldman Sachs-funded business news watchdog blog at the Columbia Journalism Review goes after a fellow non-profit news organization, ProPublica, for a ProPublica article on wasteful stimulus spending. Columbia Journalism Review criticizes ProPublica for using a quotation from a spokeswoman for Citizens Against Government Waste, which Columbia Journalism Review sneeringly and condescendingly and dismissively and, well, offensively, characterizes as "some obscure tea-bagging operation." Citizens Against Government Waste has been around since 1984, and its 2007 IRS Form 990 indicates it had revenue and expenses of about $4.4 million, more if you include an affiliated 501(c)4 group.
