Download of the Day: Better GReader
As a geek, it's kind of embarrassing to admit that I was ever resistant to using an RSS reader, based on the fact that I liked the way many of my blogs look in their original forms. So many sites put a lot of thought into their design, but I slowly came around to putting some of the blogs I read into Google Reader. Of course, I slowly became dependent on it and finally added all my blogs I love, even if I had to miss the pretty site design I delight in seeing when I open up their pages.

It took me three hours to make this, with a mix of Swarovski crystals and rhinestones. It was worth the wait, I had to wait overnight before I could put it on my iPhone.

When a young boy, Michael Berg (David Kross), gets sick on his way home from school, a woman, Hannah Schmitz (Kate Winslet), helps him get home. When he goes back to thank her, they discover a tension there that manifests into an illicit affair.

If you like to get your daily dose of news from The New York Times online (and you're a Mac user), a new beta version of Times Reader is now available for Macs and is — free! You'll need to be a registered user of the NYTimes.com and the download requires a Silverlight install (it will prompt you to install if you don't have it already). Although keep in mind that once the Reader is out of beta, it will cost around $15 a month.
Website of the Day: DailyLit
The creators of DailyLit sound frighteningly familiar — they say that they saw the need for their website, which delivers "installments" of books to your RSS Reader or email so you can take in equal parts Anna Karenina and Engadget. Why? Because they said they were spending all their time catching up on their Reader and emails, but had no time for books.

Cool Capture Reader Entry: A Coolpix View of the Bay

I snapped this pretty picture of the Golden Gate Bridge and bay with my Nikon Coolpix S200. I love the camera because it takes good pictures and is light and fits in my bag, but I'm ready to graduate to an SLR for more advanced options. I don't really have any special technique.
