He’s keeping the dates a secret so far, but Keith Urban has pencilled in 58 North American cities for his 2009 concert tour, due after he finishes work on his next album, which comes out March 31.
A video for his current single, "Sweet Thing," is expected this month, and it will help call attention to the album and the tour, which begins in May and runs through such major markets as New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Boston, Toronto and Philadelphia.
The tour will feature a revolving door of opening acts, including a Country Hall of Fame member and the top-selling country artist of 2008.

Lil Wayne is having a big year.
Not only did the rapper's album Tha Carter III go five times platinum, selling over five million copies, but on Wednesday, he was nominated for eight Grammy Awards, including the prestigious album of the year honors.
And the rapper will face off against British rockers Coldplay in that category, who followed closely behind, earning seven nominations.
