The new TV movie version of Lorraine Hansberry's beautiful play A Raisin in the Sun was a success in the ratings last night, ultimately "winning" the night for ABC with an overall average of nearly 13 million viewers. This television adaptation of the play starred the same leads as the 2004 Broadway revival cast, including Sean Combs, Audra McDonald, and Phylicia Rashad. The latter two are Tony-winning Broadway regulars, but A Raisin in the Sun was hip-hop mogul Sean "P Diddy" Combs's Broadway debut.

The former nanny to Katie Price (aka Jordan) and Peter Andre’s children, Becky Gauld, has a few things to say about the reality show couple. If you watch their dreadful show, you know that in the season finale last year, Becky was fired from her job as caretaker to Katie and Peter’s two sons because she took a holiday against Katie’s wishes. Sean Combs (the artist sometimes known as Diddy) is getting high marks for his acting in the ABC special, A Raisin in the Sun.
Says the New York Times about the TV special, “There are no mediocre performances here… That Mr. Combs makes his desires seem like more than empty materialism must come in some part from the fact that he has been hungry at the same table… The play’s most poignant speech is his, and he delivers it with all of the dignified vengeance it demands, showing us that one of the great advantages of money is the power it provides to tell the wrong people off… Mr. Combs commanding and fierce.”
