The Real Housewives of Atlanta tell all—including what they think of the allegations they’re not “real Atlanta society”
From comments spurred by my past posts (one, detailing the bios of the Atlanta Housewives, here; and another, detailing why I think the Atlanta version will be absolutely enthralling to watch, here), it seems that there are people here in “The City Too Busy to Hate” with plenty of time to hate, especially when it comes to whether or not these women represent Atlanta (generally) and its moneyed society (specifically). So when I interviewed the Housewives last week, I gave them a chance to offer a rebuttal, along with a lot of juicy information about what we’ll be seeing this seven-episode season, from the brouhaha over Big Papa’s real identity to which housewife is going to be the “bitch” of the show.
The women—Nene Leakes, Lisa Wu Hartwell, Kim Zociak, Sheree Whitfield, and DeShawn Snow (all at right)—were interviewed separately, but I asked many of them similar questions.

Gearing Up for Season 2 of the Atlanta Housewives
Here's a rundown of where the Atlanta Housewives were the last time we saw them, and what's on the horizon for season two at the end of July. Why doesn't it surprise me that Kim's only ally is the new housewife, former member of the 90's R&B group Xscape? Could it be because Khandi doesn't yet know the real Kim Z?

Entertainment Weekly: Exclusive: Kandi Burruss joins 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta'
Mar 6, 2009, 03:44 PM | by Tanner Stransky
NeNe, Kim, Sheree, and Lisa, make room for one more! EW has learned exclusively that DeShawn Snow's replacement on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta is Kandi Burruss, a singer-songwriter from the platinum-selling '90s R&B girl group Xscape (which also included sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott, as well as Burruss' best friend Tameka "Tiny" Cottle).
Burruss is undeniably the most notable member from Xscape.

As many of you know the Real Housewives of Atlanta was renewed for a second season. Before NJ, they used to be the cast with the most drama. However, it seems like with the deletion of DeShawn Snow from the first season for being too normal and the addition of former member of the 90's R&B group Xscape Kandi Burruss, this season may be more amped than last season.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta - Another Episode
So I watched another episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. I know it’s just mindless entertainment, but after working 9-10 hours a day and consuming so much news and politics it’s my escape. I have to say, I’m quite suspicious of Ms.
