Okay, so you didn't have $932,178 to spend on Audrey Hepburn's iconic Breakfast at Tiffany's little black dress. Now you have a chance to bid on the hot pink cocktail dress she also wore in the movie and it is estimated to sell for a lot cheaper. Christie's is holding a Film and Entertainment Memorabilia auction on May 30 in which they are selling this dress along with a variety of other film memorabilia including props from Laurel and Hardy.

For any occassion, in my opinion, basic black always works. Especially with a gorgeous dress with beautiful lines like this one. Jackie O might disagree.

It has always amazed me how important some people deem clothes, shoes, accessories and alike. I myself have a penchant for long winter coats (sounds crazy I know, but I love them).
I have never however considered myself Fashionable or Glamorous, but I would like to think I have my own unique style and therefore am somewhat stylish.
But are these terms as distinct as they once were.

Several years ago, a friend of mine who is a writer in New York was commissioned to write a “Dummies” series book on Dressing for Success. She had compiled a whole photo shoot of clothes selected from a variety of the black, brown and navy family of colors, the more “typical” business colors favored by most women and men, or so she thought. She asked me what color suit I would wear to a business event. Black, brown or navy?

Here's a wonderful article I found on "Time" magazine's website about Audrey! I took an excerpt, but if you wanna read the rest, it's here: http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1580936,00.html
Oh, and it was written on January 20th, so that's why it says something about her dying 14 years ago today. Here's the article:
The movie world's first clear view of Audrey Hepburn was in a newsreel: the beginning of Roman Holiday showed the young actress, as the ruritanian Princess Ann, on a state tour of Europe.

Actress and dancer. Gene Kelly got her to the movies for the film An American in Paris (1951) in 1951. Got a world-wide reputation for her roles in Lili (1953) (1953) and Gigi (1958) (1958).

I saw this over at ohnotheydidnt and thought it was really fun to read! I took the most interesting ones from the original post to share here.
"We all love movies, and its interesting to find out that the final cut we see in theatres or on TV isn't always what was originally imagined or intended by the creators.

Could these be the world's most stylish school students? Serena dresses up her uniform with knee high socks, shoe boots and a bejewelled cardi. For Blair, it's all about colour co-ordination.
