This is a cake that I made for a baby shower. Vanilla cake with Buttercream Icing. The tub and accessories were all made with Marshmallow Fondant.

People must really be into these tiny animal models I have been making lately, because EVERYONE is requesting them on their cakes. They're a lot of fun to do though, so I don't mind too much.

PETA, my personal opinions on what they are doing right and wrong.
I am an animal lover and I know that I sort of went into my feelings about them before in another blog, but I thought I would write another one. Just in case you do not know who PETA is you can go to www.peta.org to get the full aspect on PETA, but be warned, there is some graphic material on there. Basically PETA is "People for the ethical treatment of animals", which basically they state that animals should not be used for any kind of meat, fur, or be used in any way such as pulling farm equipment, having jobs, etc.Season Two Episode 1 -Nothing But The Blood.

TeamSugar member Mominator was wondering if I could do a post about gift baskets for baby showers - or baby arrivals! And I thought she had a great idea. I've been to a few of these in the past couple years and it would be nice to give something a little different, maybe something with a little more meaning or some helpful everyday items.
My Baby Boy Shower
I live in CO, but my entire family lives in MI, so my shower was held there in October 2007. We didn't want to burden anyone by using their home/time, so we chose the gorgeous Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester Hills as the venue. It was perfect--quaint, elegant, and very accommodating, with terrific staff and amazing food.
