"Stylemaker" Lady Gaga Aces in Lace
New York – Pop star Lady Gaga is not afraid to take fashion risks, as her ensemble for the 13th annual ACE Awards proved. At New York's Cipriani on 42nd Street on Monday, Nov. 2, to pick up her "Stylemaker" award from presenter Marc Jacobs, Lady Gaga wore a fifties-style pale pink bra and girdle-like panties over a gray crushed velvet shirt in a masculine-meets-feminine play.

The cavernous photography studio in New York City is bustling with fashion assistants, hair and makeup stylists, and models chatting in white terry robes. All typical on a photo shoot, but when the robes come off, you see what's different. Kate Dillon, Ashley Graham, Amy Lemons, Lizzie Miller, Crystal Renn, Jennie Runk and Anansa Sims -- some of the top plus-size models working today -- have beautiful curves, round shoulders, belly rolls and lots of other womanly stuff many of us see when we look in the mirror.

Model-turned-fashion mogul Kimora Lee Simmons’ new Barbie doll comes with a faux-fur coat, in a bid to show young girls they can look “fabulous” without skinning animals. The designer and reality TV star admits she was thrilled when toymakers Mattel decided to model a Barbie in her likeness, but she had one recommendation. With shows opening all over town, it seems that the tents could have been just another trend, but don't beleive it yet- there are still plenty if designers who are sticking to the original ideal. When snagging a show at Bryant Park is easy young designers will take whatever they can get. Adam by Adam, Lippes, Monarchy, William Rast and Barbie are just a few of the new designers hoping that the tents havent't gone out of style quite yet.Fashion Week Schedule

Reese Witherspoon - Children's Defense Fund Academy Award Winning actress, Reese Witherspoon serves on the Board of Directors at CDF. She first learned about CDF while reading a book by its President Marian Wright Edelman entitled, The Measure of Our Success: A Letter to My Children and Yours, during a road trip from Nashville to Stanford University. She later reread the book, decided she wanted to be part of CDF's work and called CDF to get involved.
