Seven governors have been impeached and removed from office:
Willliam H. Holden (NC, 1871) Holden was removed after he sent a militia to quell violence by the Ku Klux Klan, and suspended the right of habeas corpus for accused Klan leaders.
David Butler (Neb, 1871) Butler was removed for misappropriating school funds, but the impeachment proceedings subsequently were expunged from the legislative record and in 1888 he was elected to another term as governor.

'When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe .'
Thomas Jefferson

She may no longer dance with flair, lip-sync on cue, keep her dress down, or even be judged a suitable mom, but Britney Spears can still turn up on some slammin' new songs.
The much-whispered-about, oft-giggled-over "Blackout" album, the singer's first in four years, contains flashes of the zippy pop and propulsive dance beats Brit fans treasure, despite the singer's, shall we say, distracting activities of the last year.
On the contrary, those adventures may only have helped matters for the disk, out next Tuesday.

This started out as the ‘Top 5 Britney Spears Moments of 2007′ and then became the ‘Top 15′, ‘Top 20′, ‘Top 25′ and finally the ‘Top 35 Britney Spears Moments of 2007′. Brit should have known it was going to be a crazy year when she started it off by collapsing at a New Year’s Eve party. Then she quickly went on to check into rehab, shave her head, check back in and out of rehab, before attempting rehab a third time.

It’s truly amazing that Sam Lutfi still has not been served with his restraining order mandating that he stay away from Britney Spears. It was approved two weeks ago, but Sam has managed to stay below the radar, and technically the restraining order isn’t in effect until he’s served. I would imagine that Britney’s parents have hired some pretty good people to get to him, so he must literally not be leaving his house.
