We're playing those mind games together
Pushing the barriers,
Planting seeds
Playing the mind guerrilla
Chanting the mantra, peace on earth

It's a chilling moment when the light goes out in someone's eyes. A once-radiant child hardens from abuse. A woman's heart shrinks after her husband's abandonment.

Ever since Penélope Cruz wore a sapphire-and-diamond sparkler on her ring finger at the October premiere of Broken Embraces, buzz has mounted that the actress is engaged to actor Javier Bardem. It's a question she just won't answer – no matter how hard she's pushed. During her Late Show appearance, airing Tuesday night, David Letterman asked the actress, 35, point-blank if she's engaged to Bardem, 40.

Catholic Church Makes 'Stunning' Move
By JAMES GRAFF, World Editor
,
(Oct. 20) -- The number of married Catholic priests could grow sharply as the result of the Vatican's epochal decision to welcome thousands of disaffected Anglicans and Episcopalians into the Catholic Church.
At press conferences in Rome and London on Tuesday, Vatican officials announced that the Church would set up a special canonical structure that will ease the conversion of members of the Anglican Communion without them having to give up what the Vatican called "the distinctive Anglican spiritual and liturgical patrimony."

For several weeks, tabloids and the blogosphere have been abuzz with speculation that Penélope Cruz is pregnant with boyfriend Javier Bardem's baby, sparked by photos of the Spanish beauty sporting what some have described as a baby bump.
And the Oscar-winning actress is not happy about it. On the red carpet of Thursday night's Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Cruz's new film, Broken Embraces, she let her annoyance show.

In a July 14 news release the “Honolulu Community Media Council” (HCMC) denounces Accuracy In Media and the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review for “shoddy journalism and smear tactics.” HCMC, headed by Chris Conybeare of the University of Hawaii, “finds” that “there is no substance to the claim” that “Frank Marshall Davis was a lifelong Communist and a mentor to (presidential candidate Barack) Obama.”
Conybeare may be hoping that nobody else knowing the post-WW II history of Hawaii is willing to talk. Davis, it turns out, was just one member of a network whose works continue to exert influence to this day.
Connecting the Dots
A faculty member of the UH-West Oahu Center for Labor Education and Research (CLEAR), Conybeare is producer of a many-part PBS series on the history of labor organizing in Hawaii, focusing on the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU).

Obama’s New Nuremberg DefenseObama’s War Crimes Hypocrisy
Posted by Shannon Love on April 22nd, 2009 (All posts by Shannon Love)
So, Obama is thinking about prosecuting lawyers for war crimes.
Frankly, I doubt that Obama will actually go through with it. Leftists like to talk big about how horrible and murderous America’s military and intelligence services are, but history has shown that they are just hypocritical cowards when it comes to acting on their hysterical rhetoric.
