From April until June this year I did my summer internship in the events department at exchange4media. I was quite unhappy to be working in Delhi in the hot summer so I was already off to a bad start. Now that I think back though, it was a trip marked by some very memorable moments.

A holiday classic to celebrate Fitzmas
John Kass
December 18, 2008
Today, let's celebrate the spirit of the season with a dramatic reading by Illinois Gov. Dead Meat of a timeless holiday classic.
So think of this column as you would an old episode of "Masterpiece Theatre," in which I'm some cultured fellow with an English accent, introducing the governor, who recites the famous poem eagerly anticipated by young and olde:
" 'Twas the Night Before Fitzmas."

The Morning Glory Cafe at the Farm
In southern Phoenix there is a place called The Farm at South Mountain. It is an actual farm that grows vegetables and it is surrounded by pecan trees. You will feel a million miles away from the city!!

My husband and I just finished re-doing out little breakfast nook off the kitchen. It's a charming room with a bay window, two built-in china cupboards that are original to our circa-1939 home, a little arched entryway, and a peaked roof.
When we bought our house, the room was painted a dull beige, had ugly metal blinds hanging in the pretty divided-light casement windows, and sported a rather hideous copper and brass light fixture.

Flash-forward
Sayid, looking very groomed and conservative, is playing golf alone on a beautiful course in the Seychelles. A European man on a golf cart drives up and starts offering Sayid tips on which iron to use, which turns into a friendly bet on who can drive the ball closest to the flag with their iron.
While they play, the man asks Sayid what he does for a living, and Sayid says he does nothing because he received a large settlement.

Miami is being very good to Jennifer Aniston. From working on her tan to sampling the fare, the actress seems right at home when not shooting Marley & Me.
For starters, a very relaxed and radiant Aniston dined at Michael's Genuine Food & Drink in Miami's artsy Design District on Saturday night.

Former American Idol runner-up Bo Bice and his wife, Caroline Fisher, are expecting their second child, the singer tells PEOPLE exclusively.
“I’m proud to be a dad again,” says Bice, adding that his wife is due in August. “We don’t know if it’s a boy or girl yet and don’t care as long as it’s healthy and has all its fingers and toes.”
The couple, who have been together five years, married in their home state of Alabama on June 15, 2005.

After the walk-in closet, the next room that we tackeled was the foyer. It's an enclosed porch, accessed from the side entrance and is the door that everyone uses. I don't have pictures of it in its "before" state but, trust me, it was almost as much work as the closet and took us about a month to complete.

At brunch yesterday Muriel Hemingway (is that her name?) sat next to my table. As I was about to leave we saw the first family of California stroll in. Love that in Brentwood it's the norm to run into a few famous folks doing quite normal stuff.
