Reader sissysugar recently added some shots to the Cool Capture group in the GeekSugar Community:
I snapped this pretty picture of the Golden Gate Bridge and bay with my Nikon Coolpix S200. I love the camera because it takes good pictures and is light and fits in my bag, but I'm ready to graduate to an SLR for more advanced options. I don't really have any special technique.

Hellooooooo, don't mind my awkward facial expression, I really did try and take pictures whilst looking at the camera; however, the bags under my eyes are quite overwhelming :).

When protest is uncool, &c.
By Jay Nordlinger
Friends, I hope you had a good Labor Day Weekend, and aren’t too shaken up by the loss of Van Jones to the administration, and to America. And aren’t you excited to hear President Obama address Congress, and the schoolchildren?

Mayor Gavan Newsom is viewed out side the Bay Area as a far left radical on the other hand inside the boarders of San Francisco values he can’t quite seem to sooth the love/hate relationship he has with his constituents and as for the Board of Supervisors well they really can’t stand him as far as they can throw him. Having worked for a firm that dealt directly with city government I got to hear a lot of personal opinion about San Francisco’s beloved Mayor and came away with two consistencies he’s a self absorbed self serving arrogant @ss but damn he’s cute…LOL. What a lovely impression to leave upon so many.

I needed to make a small batch of cupcakes for a man at church, so I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to both try out The Pioneer Woman's Best Chocolate Sheet Cake Ever and to show you a small tutorial on how I make buttercream icing and how to pipe it onto cupcakes. I felt the need to try this recipe because I have heard so many wonderful things about it, but I wanted to try it in cupcake form, so I halved the recipe. Here's the recipe and the following pictures that I took during the process.
