COLIBRI EVANS navigated the aisles of Forever 21 at the Beverly Center last week with a sure step and a shrewd eye. Her mother, Sasha Evans, was more circumspect, offering for Colibri’s approval a string of neo-hippie beads Joss Stone might have coveted.
“It’s her job to say ‘Yes, No, Yes, No,’ ” Mrs. Evans said, nodding toward her daughter, a 29-year-old music producer.

Rachel Maddow transcript:
The new rules for Wall Street and the banks will also create a consumer financial protection agency. So in the same way that regulation keeps off the market things that, when used as directed, have a good chance of killing you, things like long darts, or cars with the fuel tank right next to the bumper.
A consumer financial protection agency would keep off the markets, say, really bad mortgages that, when used as directed, are likely to blow up in your face as well.

Jon Stewart ended an interview with climate-change contrarian and Super Freakonomics co-author Steven Levitt on Monday night by noting, "I've apparently frightened our audience by suggesting that conservation isn't the only way out of any of the problems of the world. I sincerely apologize."
He added, "And I do also believe that we should just eat vegetables."

As I was looking online today for a structured/cropped pants and I came across New York and Company. They are a great alternative to the somewhat overpriced Limited stores. There overall selection is very business casual with a modern touch.

President Obama spoke of it in economic terms Tuesday when he urged the House of Representatives to pass legislation that would address global warming. "The nation that leads in the creation of a clean energy economy will be the nation that leads the 21st century global economy," he said.
