But as the glamour wears off and a long, frustrating summer wears on, he is being forced to improvise — stooping to respond to political foes and adjusting his tactics and demeanor for the trench warfare of a legislative agenda.

This Monday in the new episode of Gossip Girl (2.14, “In the Realm of the Basses), we will meet for the first time Jack Bass, uncle to Chuck Bass.
Can Jack Bass (Desmond Harrington) steal the fortune away from Chuck while he’s distraught over his father’s death?
It looks like he will at least try.

In 2008, Ed was voted Teen Choice Award's Choice TV Villain for his role in Gossip Girl.
Ed was listed among Zap2It.com's Most Underrated Actors/Actresses of 2007.
The weirdest thing any fan has given him was a lunchbox with pictures of him and Chuck Bass plastered on the covers.

It’s December; Twilight, in which Pattinson, 22, plays an adorably tortured perma-teenage vampire too principled to drink human blood, has been in theaters for about a month.

Could a real-life Chuck Bass be out there somewhere?
Bravo apparently hopes so. The cable network, notorious for their reality TV programming of the rich and not-so-famous, is producing a Gossip Girl-esque reality show following the lives of privileged private-school attendees in New York City.

Patrick Heusinger, the new hunk on the CW's Gossip Girl, is fine with being a dollop of color on the series' racy palette.
"I think he should be a brush stroke in the bigger picture of what Gossip Girl is," Heusinger says. "I make a lot of interesting things happen, and I think I should let them go on."

To repeat one of the most pressing questions of our era: Who is Gossip Girl (the CW, Mondays at 9 p.m. ET)? People who like TV but do not watch Josh Schwarz’s teensploitation soap (that is, most people) know her as a pure media phenomenon.

Adaptations from page to screen can be bumpy, but Gossip Girl author Cecily von Ziegesar says overall Josh Schwartz and his crew have been spot-on.
“I’m a very faithful watcher… Generally I’m entertained and I think it’s great,” she tells MTV.com. Von Ziegesar does have one bone to pick with the producers: their depiction of the TV version of Vanessa, played by Jessica Szohr.
