Yesterday morning I had an early flight to NYC. The airport was packed, busier than I have seen it in a long time and the security line was insane. Luckily my husband travels a lot for work, so we get to go in the (much shorter) priority security line.

Clive Owen is the talented English actor who recently made it big in Hollywood with the movies Closer and King Arthur.
The actor Clive Owen has been wowing British audiences since the tv series Chancer back in 1990. However, with roles in Closer and King Arthur, he has now become an international star.

Greenfingers at Yahoo movies, with Clive Owen and Helen Mirren.
I saw it when it was first at movie theaters and both hubby and I loved it. Then last night I caught it on the Indieplex channel and once again I thought it was a lovely film.

It's a brutal topic, sex and love, especially when they're combined. I thought the movie was amazing. It captured all of the vulnerability, caustic harshness, and acerbic flirtation that the play vibrated with.

New Line offered some amazing eye candy in the form of spectacular action sequences, amazing visual effects, and Clive Owen.
Shoot 'Em Up
We were treated to three action sequences from this film, each one more fantastic than the last. It is some of the most exciting action I've seen in a long time; very similar to the Transporter series, though with a new comedic element.

It's about time these two reunited! Julia Roberts and Clive Owen are co-starring in a new movie called Duplicity. They play two ex-spies who join forces to try and pull off a huge heist.

The article is a bit long and some of the references don't translate, but I'm sure you ladies get the point. ;)
Of course, I am sharing this for the sociological significance and the deep discussion I'm sure will result.
There are a couple more pictures at the link, but I included the best ones here.

Via TIME Magazine:
Ocean's Thirteen is the second sequel of a remake of a heist movie that was considered lightweight even by the standards of a lightweight era. But if you think the heft of the material had any effect on the seriousness with which the all-star ensemble cast prepared for their roles—well, you'd be right. TIME's Josh Tyrangiel sat down in Cannes with a very loose George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and series newcomer Ellen Barkin—in her first film role in quite some time and, in case you forgot, kind of a live wire—to discuss politics, Al Pacino, the Pitt-Jolie paparazzi juggernaut, and their favorite leading men.

The weekend went by really fast (isn't that always the case?) but I had a lot of fun. We rented some movies since we got a free $50 credit for having a new membership at Blockbuster! Too bad we used half of it on 2 newish movies and 4 old movies!

Last night on a whim, the boy whisked me away to see a late night screening of Children of Men, as we were having drinks right next to the Arclight and the timing seemed impeccable. While it might not sound it, I found this to be incredibly romantic and sweet and made for one perfect night. After all, my desire to see this movie was very strong, and had been growing since Comic-con in July: My boyfriend had ducked out to cruise the floor while I saved our seats and intended to read through what we had both written off as a "throwaway panel" that was simply dubbed, Universal's Children of Men.
