May 14, 2008 - Not On Our Watch, a non-profit founded in part by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Don Cheadle, has reportedly given a half a million dollars to Save the Children for emergency relief work in Myanmar (Burma). “Cyclone Nargis has left an estimated 100,000 Burmese dead and one million without shelter. While the international community has offered limited aid, Not On Our Watch remains committed to donating funds toward lifesaving programs in Burma and advocating for an end to the military regime’s gross violations of human rights.” MTV News reports that Not On Our Watch has given $250,000 to Save the Children up front, and will match every additional dollar given to the aid group up to $250,000. - 0 Comments
