Studies have shown that some people equate hair loss with advancing age, and a person with thinning hair is viewed as less attractive and likeable than those without. Age appropriateness affects everything involved in our appearance, from our clothes to our makeup and hair. Many sufferers of hair loss and baldness don’t want to appear older than they really are. The reasons for this are many, including work relations, personal perception of self, or a combination of both. Appropriate aging carries the benefit of boosting self-esteem as well as improved relations with friends and coworkers.
Regardless of what your numerical age is, most people in personal and professional circles will make immediate assessments of what they believe your age to be. A sufferer of hair loss or baldness may also be viewed as lacking in their care of personal presentation, or simple disregard for upkeep of their looks. Conversely, even if you are numerically older, you may be revered as “youthful” if aging effects like hair loss are reversed.
Youthful appearances are typically considered a social indication of pride and healthy living. Premature aging effects of hair loss, much like smoking or sun damage, can carry the stigma that you are not committed to wellness and taking the best care of yourself possible. Even if you do not believe in such assessments, unfortunately a great percentage of the population does. Thus, doing everything possible to treat your thinning hair can improve interpersonal relationships at work and home.

I've been trying to get together a nice winter wardrobe for Miss Pru to combat the cold Maine winters. Luckily, a friend of mine gave me a gift of a used sewing machine and a couple of dogcentric patterns so I have been whipping up a few things using old, no longer used clothing.
