This is my mother's delicious recipe. To me, Pancit is a healthier version of Chinese Lo Mein. Don't get me wrong - I love Lo Mein, but Pancit doesn't use as much sodium like Lo Mein does.

I know the name sounds deceiving, but it is my all time favorite Thai dish! It was my parents' first time having it and they kept asking for seconds, thirds, etc! Haha.

It's an age-old question: is there a distinction between Cajun and Creole cooking — or are they really just the same thing?
The answer is somewhere in between. Creole cooking evolved out of the cosmopolitan culture of New Orleans, a city affected by the influx of international colonists who settled there after the Louisiana Purchase.

Kerala is the preferred tourism destination of India. It is the most beautiful state in the country known for its amazing natural beauty, world class accommodation, delicious cuisines, lovely climate and the picturesque landscapes. It is also famous for its charming backwaters, delightful houseboat cruise, lovely beaches and many other fascinating beauties.

I find Greek cuisine as one of the heartiest and healthiest food choices all around. And recently, one of our Greek friends just had her birthday and it was a no-brainer to check out Petros as it was just named "Top New Restaurant" by Zagat (and rightfully so).

Depending on where you live, finding good Winter produce can be difficult — this is especially true on the East Coast. Around this time of year, farmers markets lose a bit of lushness and start resembling outdoor root cellars. However, hidden amongst the piles of potatoes, carrots, and turnips is one of my most favorite vegetables ever: broccoli rabe, aka rapini.

If you didn't get your fill of revelry in the past couple of days, there's an array of eclectic eating and drinking events around the country to look forward to. Savor a blend of California and Basque cuisine on the East Coast, enjoy an homage to dates in Southern California, or rub elbows with international Slow Food leader Carlo Petrini over a family-style dinner in Atlanta.
What events will you partake in this week?

With Olympics viewing parties, Valentine's Day dinners, and Chinese New Year celebrations, there'll be a lot of eating this weekend. Add to that the lagers at SF Beer Week, the seafood at Confluence, and an International Pancake Day celebration, and you've got a blast of a week ahead. Where will you be eating and drinking?

Well, I did well for part of the day... dry cereal/walnut mix on the run this morning, banana with a tablespoon of p'nt butter snack, lean cuisine for lunch, chili w/cheese for dinner plus 1/2 cup oyster crackers, then a piece of apple spice tea cake for nightcap. :)
