Lance Armstrong is hopping back on his bike – and returning to professional cycling, the athlete officially confirmed in a video blog posted on Tuesday.
"After long talks with my kids, the rest of my family and a close group of friends, I have decided to return to professional cycling in 2009," Armstrong, 36, said in his video announcement.
The announcement comes after speculation that Armstrong would return to the Tour de France.

Children from poor families are more likely than their peers to be depressed as teenagers, with effects that can ultimately make it harder to climb out from poverty, a new study suggests.
The study, which followed nearly 500 Iowa families for a decade, found that children in poorer families were at greater risk of depression symptoms by adolescence. These teenagers, in turn, were more likely to "grow up" faster — including having sex, leaving home or getting married at an earlier-than-average age.

You've been working out hard, eating clean, but you still are not making any progress. Carbohydrate cycling is the most effective low carbohydrate diet and will help you bust through that plateau!
Carbohydrate cycling is the practice of lowering carbs for 2-3 days and then bringing your carbs back up for 1-2 days, instead of just keeping your carb ratios the same all the time.

Aguilera seems like someone who wouldn’t take crap from anyone, if you ask me. She has a history of violence in her childhood, but somehow I just can’t see anyone pushing her around as an adult. She’s aware of the cycle of violence, and wanted to be sure it wouldn’t continue with her new husband.

The moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived: I've been gearing up with my America's Next Top Model quizzes for months, and Bella has been getting in on the excitement with her ANTM faceoff game — and now we finally have our Cycle 13 winner! (Not to mention the first petite champ.) Cue the drumroll and take this one last test to judge your knowledge from the finale.
And afterward, I'm curious to hear how you felt about this season overall.

It cannot be said often enough that the chief of staff of the United States Army, Gen. George Casey, responded to a massacre of 13 Americans in which the suspect is a Muslim by saying: "Our diversity ... is a strength."

I've been carrying a reusable water bottle with me for years now, filling up on tap water as needed. Well, portable water just got a little cleaner with the Clear2Go water bottle ($16). It's your standard water bottle with a squeeze top made for cycling, but it comes with its very own water filter.

About a month ago, I met this guy during a mass bike ride in my city and we took to each other pretty quickly. We didn't spend every waking moment together like many of my relationships start, but we enjoyed each others company. We rode the city together til the wee hours of the morning, attended art shows and the like.
