Judy Garland was an American singer/entertainer who is considered by most to be the greatest female musical star of Hollywood's Golden Era. Perhaps best known and loved for the magic she brought to stage, screen, television, and recordings, her intense acting ability, singular communicative power, humor, and powerful singing voice were — and still are today — considered nearly unequaled.
The Beginning
Judy (christened Frances Ethel Gumm and nicknamed "Baby") was born on June 10, 1922, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

POOR Miss Piggy. Like most aging stars in Hollywood, that prima donna pig, along with most of her Muppet pals, has struggled to find substantial roles. Almost nobody under the age of 30 remembers “Pigs in Space.” All everyone wants to talk about is this Hannah Montana person.

I saw this over at ohnotheydidnt and thought it was really fun to read! I took the most interesting ones from the original post to share here.
"We all love movies, and its interesting to find out that the final cut we see in theatres or on TV isn't always what was originally imagined or intended by the creators.

I'm taking today off from bringing you all recipes and have decided instead to write about the woman that I have decided to claim as my favorite actress all time.
Truthfully, it's not hard to see why I've fallen in love with the woman. When she first started making her way into show business (as Frances Gumm with the Gumm Sisters), she was known as the "little girl with the big voice."

All this week, the confines of an unprepossessing building in North Hollywood have echoed to the sounds of what on first hearing might be taken for the muffled strains of some frightening act of domestic violence. In fact, this nondescript studio in a quiet suburban neighbourhood has been playing host to Paris Hilton as she prepares her latest assault on an unsuspecting public.
If the evidence of an impromptu performance at a karaoke night in a Los Angeles club on Tuesday night is anything to go by, however, the ambitious Miss Hilton might be well advised to book some more lessons.

One of my favorite actors from yesteryear is the wonderfully gifted Howard Keel. I say that not so much due to his acting skills than to his voice, but still, I never found him less than believable and always fell in a little in love with his characters. In fact, I still do.

When it comes to Transformers, there's definitely more to meet the eyes.
Paramount and DreamWorks have ramped up development on a sequel to the summer blockbuster that will likely see Michael Bay back at the helm and Steven Spielberg again serving as executive producer, a DreamWorks rep confirmed Thursday.
"Obviously you have a movie that's made as much money as Transformers has, you'd want to do another one," spokesman Marvin Levy told E!
