Dannii apparently like the rest of Great Britain, or at least the majority, spent her Saturday night watching her own X-Factor debute. Not that we mind at all, since at least an average of 9.7m viewers and peak of 10.7m were watching as well. Knowing that she was part of that huge rating made dear little Dannii quite exhilarated, saying, "I have been a fan of The X Factor since the show started, so I have to pinch myself to realise I am now on the set of my favourite show."

Security around Simon Cowell’s British TV contest The X Factor is on high-alert after a crazed fan tried to attack judge and Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole.
Cowell and Cole were leaving a hotel in Glasgow, Scotland after filming scenes for the televised talent show this month when they were approached by an unidentified man.
Cole was posing for photographers when the lone man lunged through the crowd and grabbed her.

Sharon Osbourne has announced she will be stepping down as a judge on U.K. TV talent competiton The X Factor.
In a statement, Osbourne thanked fellow judge and series creator Simon Cowell and “the wonderful British public for their enormous support”.
