Author David Foster Wallace has died from an apparent suicide at age 46, the Associated Press reports.
The writer, perhaps best known for his 1996 novel, Infinite Jest, was found dead by his wife in their home about 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Explaining previous remarks that McCain is "untested and untried" Sunday on CBS' "Face the Nation," Wesley Clark said he was referring to McCain's lack of experience in setting national security policies and understanding the risk involved in such matters.
"I certainly honor his service as a prisoner of war. He was a hero to me and to hundreds of thousands and millions of others in the armed forces, as a prisoner of war.
