Janet Jackson’s ‘wardrobe malfunction’ enters the dictionary
Janet Jackson’s infamous wardrobe malfunction at 2004’s SuperBowl has gone down in history - the phrase has been entered into the English dictionary. Jackson, who was performing during the SuperBowl’s half-time show, was left red-faced after her stage partner Justin Timberlake ripped open her bodice, revealing a breast. More than 90 million people saw the live broadcast - and the term ‘wardrobe malfunction’ was coined."w00t" Crowned Word of Year by U.S. Dictionary

I have a love hate relationship with AIM speak, which for those of you that steer clear of Instant Messaging are all the acronyms, slang, and abbreviations that people use when talking on AIM, Yahoo, MSN, Google or other instant messaging services. For years I wondered if it is making people illiterate, but it seems text messages have taken on that role.
My new theory is this: If you're gonna use AIM speak, you might as well do it right.
