Less: Psssssst Instant Spray Shampoo ($6.18, drugstore.com)
Luxe: Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo ($19, sephora.com)
Ingredients in Action
Powder in the thrifty brand absorbs excess oil, as do rice and oat starch in the costlier spray.
And the Winner Is …
Both products will clean and add volume to a heavy, oily mop, but what about the less-than-fresh scent of dirty hair? The pricier "shampoo" has a crisp, lemon-y scent to mask any odor.

I was a little nervous about it, and the kind I got sort of smells like old lady (rose or baby powder, i think) but I love it! Makes my super flat hair pretty and thick!

I started using this shampoo about three weeks ago when my hair dresser told me that I have a bit of a dry scalp.

I have a certain friend on here who has dry, thin hair and wants to "Change it Up" when her current lot runs out. I have dry thickish, curly hair myself so I am not a complete expert on the best products for her hair type. What brand products do you think work best?

I have read about this product in all of the magazines and I am dying to try some. I guess I am one of the "lucky" ones who does not get greasy roots. I love going 3 or 4 days without shampooing.

My friends I have to write to you today. This is one of those days when I'm not feeling too good. I'm not doing much for myself. My skin feels grimy. My hair feels like it needs moisture. Yes I have that curly hair that needs moisture. It gets dry. I use Carefree moisturizing mist and a conditioning shampoo and a leave in moisturizer, usually Paul Mitchell or Pantene. Sometimes I change.
The hair can be overconditioned and when I want to feel really clean I use a cheaper shampoo like VO5. A cheaper one doesn't have as much conditioner.
My nails are not polished and a little chiped. I have to use a cuticle massage cream by Sally Hansen to correct that and no I haven't had a manicure in a while. Even so I have to take care of them at home even when I get regular professional manicures. For me that's about once a month.
What I'm saying is I've shared some of my beauty secrets but I shouldn't get lazy about any of them so I'd better start practicing them. However I'm in a down mood and when I am I have to do something to pick myself up. Well I think I will like splashing my face with cold water and giving myself a facial mask.

Only days ago, Jessica Alba was the poster girl for the “bronde” trend — dark-haired women lightening their locks to a caramel shade somewhere right in the middle of the blonde-brunette spectrum. But now she’s gone into the red.
If you also want to let your feisty inner redhead out, we’ve found some products that will help you get — and maintain — a red mane.
Pair that red ‘do with the best mascara out there, and keep your dyed locks from drying out with a full range of dry hair repair.

I have a new puppy and this is my first time as a dog mommy...so I want to do things right.
How often should I be bathing him? I've heard that if you bathe too much he could get dry skin and other non-fun skin issues. Additionally, any recommendations on shampoos?
How often should I be clipping his nails...he had them clipped at the kennel 3 weeks ago and it already feels a bit scratchy when he jumps on me (we're working on that) but I don't want to clip them too early either.
