Sex is good for you: For fighting cancer to the common cold - it's just what the doctor ordered (and men benefit most!)
• By A. Magee
Making love could be one of the few pleasures in life that is genuinely good for you, say researchers.
Not only does a healthy sex life boost mood, but there is growing evidence to show it boosts your physical well-being, too - from increasing longevity to reducing the risk of erectile dysfunction and even heart attack.

Twenty Years After the Fall
By George Friedman
We are now at the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the beginning of the collapse of the Soviet empire in Eastern Europe. We are also nearing the 18th anniversary of the fall of the Soviet Union itself. This is more than simply a moment for reflection — it is a moment to consider the current state of the region and of Russia versus that whose passing we are now commemorating.

Is High Blood Pressure a huge stop sign in your life?
There is definitely a relationship between prescribed high blood pressure medication and one's sex drive, for both men and women. They can cause erectile problems in men and lack of lubrication in women.

On a balmy autumn day in Vancouver, a young man is longing for a walk outside in the sunshine, and deciding against it. Far easier for him to stay in his hotel room, cocooned in five-star luxury with a mobile phone that has run out of charge, safe at least from the girls chanting his name outside. Robert Pattinson, 23 and from Barnes in southwest London, ought still to be one of Hollywood’s beautiful dreamers, moving up the ranks of movie acting, enjoying his American adventure, his guitar, his good looks.

Even before Barack Obama was elected to the presidency, Rupert Murdoch had declared war on him via the personalities of Fox News Channel, a subsidiary of Murdoch's media conglomerate, News Corp.
Since Obama's election, the cable channel's hosts and paid analysts have launched a full frontal assault on the president, smearing his nominees, calling him a racist and suggesting that his administration was trying to persuade disabled veterans to off themselves.
Now the fearmongers at Fox are crying foul since the president and his aides declared Fox not to be a news organization.

Vampires, shapeshifters, and a barmaid who can read peoples' minds ... HBO's True Blood returns on June 14, 9 PM.
I've been impatiently waiting for the white-hot series to come back since the toenail-painted black foot slumped out of Andy's car door at the end of season one.

We tend not to perform at our optimum level when we are not feeling well. The truth of that statement is self-evident when applied to mountain climbing. It might not be so evident when applied to thinking.

Barack Obama’s India-Pakistan Mess
As an eight year-old boy, I had a handful of treasured possessions: A stuffed dog; a tiny Gizmo who would grow and distort in water (I religiously kept him dry, small, and cute); the first G.I. Joe Snake-Eyes action figure; and a 1983 World Almanac, marked up and annotated with news, trivia, and facts culled from every periodical, TV news program, and library book I could reach. Pretty standard, really.

Re-emerging As an Emerging Market
By Desmond Lachman (Washington Post)
Back in the spring of 1998, when Boris Yeltsin was still at Russia's helm, I led a group of global investors to Moscow to find out firsthand where the Russian economy was headed. My long career with the International Monetary Fund and on Wall Street had taken me to "emerging markets" throughout Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America, and I thought I'd seen it all. Yet I still recall the shock I felt at a meeting in Russia's dingy Ministry of Finance, where I finally realized how a handful of young oligarchs were bringing Russia's economy to ruin in the pursuit of their own selfish interests, despite the supposed brilliance of Anatoly Chubais, Russia's economic czar at the time.
