Harry Reid's 'Evil' Moment And Democrats wonder why their health plan isn't selling.
By WILLIAM MCGURN (WSJ)
Remember when polite society treated a politician's use of the word "evil" as a sign that the old boy was dangerously lacking upstairs?
We saw it in 1983, when Ronald Reagan famously used the word in a speech to describe the Soviet empire.

Here is the ultimate desktop accessory, Clown Stereo Speaker and without doubt it is the ugliest I have ever seen. It measures ~9.3(L) x 6.2(W) x 10.3(H) cm at a weight of 155g and provides a clear sound for your songs collection, it’ll make all your friends smile and probably want to get one too.
The speaker is powered by USB port of any computer or 2 AAA batteries.

I love this quote, what do you all think?
Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.

It's not that I was expecting a film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's The Road to be happy sunshine — I just wasn't expecting it to seem so possible.
The apocalyptic tale takes place in a wasteland in the future after most humans are gone. It's desolate, the sky is a brownish-gray, and the land seems to be covered with ash.

When I was in college, I read a book that changed my life. It was Susan Brownmiller's tome, Against Our Will: Men, Women, and Rape, which explained rape as an act of power instead of just lust. What I found particularly chilling was the chapter on war -- how rape is used to terrorize a population and destroy the enemy's spirit.

Because the situations were exactly the same, see?
Public Policy Polling has blazed the trail in the past few months of asking the kinds of questions no one else is asking, like do you think Obama is descended from Lenin and so on (a slight exaggeration, but you get the idea). And now they've got another one:
PPP's newest national survey finds that a 52% majority of GOP voters nationally think that ACORN stole the Presidential election for Barack Obama last year, with only 27% granting that he won it legitimately.

"Repent," the preacher cried out, startling those who heard him.
This was no street evangelist ranting at the passing crowd, but the archbishop of Canterbury, head of the Church of England. His sharp admonition was pointed directly at a particular set of sinners, who undoubtedly had never given any thought to the morality of their actions: the barons of global banking.
