I need your help! I'm in the market for a heart rate monitor. Specifically, I want one that has mileage, heart rate (obviously), time and calories. I don't really need GPS functionality. Cost is a factor, of course.
What do you use or can recommend? Polar, Nike, Garmin, et.al?

Dear Fit,
The holidays are fast approaching, and I wish I loved this time of year but I'm already stressed out about hosting Thanksgiving dinner, what to get for my picky in-laws, and dealing with traveling. I've heard yoga can help people relax, so I wanted to give it a try. A friend of mine says that she does a short session in the morning every day, including sun salutations (whatever those are), and a sequence of standing and seated yoga poses.

Ice climbing is a lot like rock climbing - Instead of grabbing on to cracks and rock ledges with your hands, you dig tools into ice and frozen waterfalls that have formed over the rock.
Obviously, you'll need to love being in the cold if you want to learn to ice climb. Don't go out and buy all the expensive equipment to ice climb just yet.

In honor of Reading Is Sexy's grand opening, I'm going to start off with the series that's has been holding me in a chockhold for going on 10 years now.
Nora Roberts, writing as JD Robb in her not so far distant future has captured my attention since my very good friend lend me a copy of the 1st of the series, Naked In Death. That copy started me on my 10 year journey of hunting and gathering mission to find and read every one of the books in the series.

From Citizens to "Stakeholders": The New American Constitution
By Angelo M. Codevilla
"I'm going to get everybody concerned around a big table where all can express their views and their needs. And I'll express mine, and that will make sense of them all because I'll be president."

The prepared text of President Barack Obama's back-to-school address scheduled for Tuesdays, as released in advance by the White House:
Hello, everyone — how's everybody doing today? I'm here with students at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. And we've got students tuning in from all across America, kindergarten through 12th grade.

Interview with The Guardian newspaper! Enjoy :D
Brandon Flowers sits bolt upright in his train seat. So handsome you feel like putting a paper bag over your head the minute you meet him, his teeth a gleaming testament to the might of American dentistry, he is nevertheless not merely visibly uncomfortable but audibly uncomfortable, too.

Just when I thought I'd seen the end-all-be-all of diaper bags, I was sent the Babymel x2 to review. Specifically designed for parents of twins, it's perfection for any mom on the go. The designers created a two-in-one satchel that easily detaches so mom can carry only what she needs.

Sagittarians have a positive outlook on life, are full of enterprise, energy, versatility, adventurousness and eagerness to extend experience beyond the physically familiar. They enjoy travelling and exploration, the more so because their minds are constantly open to new dimensions of thought. They are basically ambitious and optimistic, and continue to be so even when their hopes are dashed.
