I took a road trip at the end of June this year. I happened upon a place in Jarvis, Ontario, Canada, called C'est La Vie on MAIN. The focus of this shop is Shabby Chic Antiques and Interiors.

Metaphor: Smart Men Make Passes at Women with Glasses
An Interview with Christine B. Whelan, author of 'Why Smart Men Marry Smart Women'
Meet Christine Whelan—an attractive, 29-year-old woman with a doctorate from Oxford University. When I spoke with her she happened to be single, having been dumped two years earlier by a man who told her she was intellectually intimidating.

If the recipe doesn't specify, does it matter if I bake brownies in a glass pan instead of metal? Should I adjust the temperature listed on the recipe or do anything differently? I don't want them to burn (or be undercooked) but I also don't want to go out and buy a smaller metal pan, if I can help it.

My aunt, who is an interior designer, used mercury glass votives to dress up the fireplace mantel in one of her client's homes. She chose varying sizes and colors, and arrange several at each end of the mantel to give it balance. I like how the right side has more votives — it keeps it from looking too matchy-matchy.

Did you know that people are allowed to print slogans next to the roadside, advising people to buy things? Underneath those big pictures you see sometimes, there are alluring sentences, telling us that various products will improve our life in some way.
I also discovered last week that foreign films are not really so difficult to follow.

This look was requested by almost famous. She wanted a look for women wearing glasses. As you probably have seen in some of the pictures I wear lenses, but I do have an old set of glasses somewhere in the closet, so I put it on when I was done with the makeup.

Topaz and citrine are the birthstones of the month of November. No wonder they make me think fall. Let's also take a look at another warm stone: smoky quartz. What exactly is the difference between these semi precious stones? It can get tricky, but here goes...
Yellow or golden quartz is called citrine. Brownish yellow quartz may be called champagne citrine and bright pumpkin orange to dark orangish red in color usually go by the name madeira citrine. But the skinny is this, citrine is quartz which is warm toned (ie: yellow, orange, brown, red) For comparison, amethyst is purple quartz. Quartz is a common stone with a hardness of 7. It occurs naturally in many, many colors and may be treated to change its color too. Various quartz crystals can form together (usually amethyst or smoky and citrine) to form bi-colored quartz.

Air Jordan XII White Black
When you see the jordan shoes pictured above, you know it’s part of the Air Jordan legacy, but it’s probably one of the most overlooked models in the vault. They don’t have a name like their regular season counterpart, the ‘Taxi’ and there’s no single moment of dominance they symbolize like the ‘Flu Game’, nor any controversy in their release like the also white ‘Rising Sun’. Despite the apparent lack of history, yours truly likes these best of all the Air Jordan XIIs (12).
