Gossip Girl's holiday hiatus mercifully ends January 5 with "In the Realm of the Basses." In this episode, Chuck's downward spiral continues with a bender in Bangkok and an incident at school, and we'll be introduced to his uncle, Jack Bass.
Then, on January 12, "Gone with the Will," Chuck finds out that as per Bart's will, he is now the CEO of Bass Industries.

As the Upper East Side teens from Constance Billard and St. Jude's prepare for a much-anticipated visit from the Ivy League representatives, Blair (Leighton Meester) uncovers a scandalous secret about Serena (Blake Lively) that may not remain a secret much longer. Dan (Penn Badgley) has his heart and future set on the coveted usher position for the Dartmouth rep, only to be beat out by Nate (Chace Crawford), who has no interest in the school despite pressure from his controlling father, The Captain (Sam Robards).

The official episode description of the second season premiere was posted recently!
As the summer draws to a close in the Hamptons, Serena and Nate have everyone fooled into thinking they are a couple to cover up the fact that Nate has been hooking up with a married older woman and Serena has been secretly mourning her break-up with Dan. Blair returns from abroad with a hot guy on her arm, making a very jealous Chuck question his decision to leave Blair stranded at the heliport.

Ga-ga ooh la la! This week's Gossip Girl copped a lot of its theme from the song that Lady Gaga sang on her guest spot: "Bad Romance." Love triangles, affairs, crushes and crumbling marriages — they're all here in my top WTF moments from this week's episode.
