Willa Holland of ‘The O.C.’ joining ‘Gossip Girl’
Holland, who played Marissa Cooper’s devilish little sis, Caitlin, on The O.C., is in negotiations to join The CW’s Gossip Girl (which debuted to strong numbers last night) for a three-episode arc, according to a GG source. Holland would play Agnes, a young model for Eleanor Waldorf who befriends Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) but also tries to tempt her over to the dark side (think threesomes and stripteases).

No new Gossip Girl tonight — as the next episode (2.12), "It’s a Wonderful Lie" won’t air until the following Monday on December 1.
In its place tonight, The CW will air an encore of One Tree Hill, followed by a new One Tree Hill episode.

Gossip Girl Debuts To New High!!
The CW took a risk by debuting its fall schedule a full three weeks ahead of most of the other networks, and starting on Labor Day no less, a night that usually sees pretty low ratings. But it looks like the strategy is off to a good start.
The network’s buzzy second-year show “Gossip Girl” debuted to its best-ever ratings in the network’s target women 18-34 demographic, according to Nielsen overnights, averaging a 2.3 rating and finishing a close second behind Fox’s “Prison Break” in the 8 p.m.
