I love grapes, but I prefer the seedless variety. However, those are VERY hard to come by here in France and I've been craving grapes like mad.
I hate getting my fingers sticky trying to pick out the seeds and I'm not a big fan of spitting, either.
Wine Cork Wreath
You Will Need:
a straw wreath base (the one we used in the photo was 18 inches in diameter)
wine corks (for the 18 inch base, figure on between 175 - 200 corks)
hot glue gun and hot glue
Optional:
artificial silk grape leaves (see notes above)
artificial grapes (we used artificial frosted grapes)
about 5 yards of 1 1/2 inch wide ribbon
a Big Ribbon Bow (click for instructions)
a few long straight pins
Step 1. Cover your work surface with several layers of paper to insulate it against any spilled hot glue. Use the hot glue gun to run a strip of hot glue down one side of the cork (I like to position the corks on my wreaths so that the most interesting side of the cork is facing up).

I recently had a chance to attend a wine tasting for Flichman from Argentina. I especially enjoyed the experience because I had a chance to chat with the winemaker, Luis Cabral de Almeida. From my standpoint, it didn't hurt that he was pretty hot also.
We began with a bottle of their Chardonnay for $8. Frankly I didn't want to taste a bottle of $8 Chardonnay as I hate that overly oaked buttery flavor of vanilla predominating, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was delightful and easily equal to wines I have enjoyed at twice the price. In fact every one of the wines' price points was spectacular. Although there were some I preferred more than others, I enjoyed all of them. All the others, with the exception of an interesting and delightful champagne (for about $8!!) all the rest were red. In fact, even the champagne was made in part from Malbec also!
