Many people like extra lubrication during sex and normally reach out for the Vaseline, baby oil, and even cooking oil. However, though it is highly pleasurable, using such lubricants is not safe since they interfere with the latex in condoms and could cause unwanted pregnancies and even allow the spread of STDs (sexually transmitted diseases).

WASHINGTON — As an evangelical Christian living in Texas, climate scientist Katharine Hayhoe found that many conservatives had questions about climate change based on things they'd heard on talk radio.
So Hayhoe and her husband, Andrew Farley, the pastor of a nondenominational church in Lubbock, Texas, decided to answer the questions in a new book from religious publisher FaithWords, "A Climate for Change: Global Warming Facts for Faith-based Decisions."
"The observed increase in greenhouse gas levels, due to human production, is the only explanation we can find to account for what has happened to our world," Farley and Hayhoe wrote.

I have recently decided that during the Fall 2010 semester, I will be traveling to Prague through California State University, Chico's Study Abroad program. Among the reasons I've chosen Prague over say, Paris, Brighton or Madrid, location and price are at the top of the list.
Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic, located in Central Europe, sandwiched between Germany, Poland, Austria, and Solvakia. According to www.weather.com, the average temperature in Prague during September, the month of my arrival, is a high of 65 F and a low of 48 F; which cools down to a chilly high of 36 F and low of 28 F during December, the month I will be leaving Prague.
It is also fairly cheap to live once in the Czech Republic. The current exchange rate as listed by the Czech National Banck (www.cnb.cz) is 17.53 CZK to every 1 USD. The program I would be using through my campus, USAC, doesn't include housing or airfare, but gives rough estimations of 7,500 CZK/month and $1,300 respectively.

I picked up this book at Borders about a month ago because it looked like a fun read (and it was part of the Buy One, Get One 1/2 Off; I'm a sucker for anything that's less than full price). Anyway, it's a throughly entertaining, quick, easy read. It's about a woman and her two daughters. The woman, who lives in an upscale neighborhood, finds out on the day of her husband's company's IPO that her husband has been cheating on her with her best friend and is leaving her (and taking the fortune he just made in the IPO with him). Her life starts to fall apart and we quickly learn that the lives of her two daughters, one of whom is in her 20's and one of whom is in high school, have been unraveling as well. The story is fun to read and, despite their many flaws, I found myself routing for these three women. If it were summer, I would say this is the perfect beach read, but since fall temperatures are starting to arrive, I'll say it's a great book to curl up with under a blanket on a rainy day.

It has been assumed that global warming would cause an expansion of the world's deserts, but now some scientists are predicting a contrary scenario in which water and life slowly reclaim these arid places. They think vast, dry regions like the Sahara might soon begin shrinking.
The evidence is limited and definitive conclusions are impossible to reach but recent satellite pictures of North Africa seem to show areas of the Sahara in retreat.
