With Pluckin' Joyful now complete, I've begun the process of translating Ginger Glass from digital illustration to traditional media. Once completed she will be the queen of The Slate Garden Gallery, providing a visual bridge between her sisters, The Farmer's Wife [patio privacy screen] and Pluckin' Joyful.
As is usual, I am working from sketches and digital mock-ups.

Each day they were abuzz, gathering and pollinating before returning home to modest quarters with tremendous security near Lafayette Park.

How to kill just about everything (pests and diseases, that is)
By Jackie French
It can come as a shock to a gardening writer to find out that even her kids don't know their pests from their diseases.
"It's whitefly," I said, looking at the brown edges and tiny specks on my son's bonsai maple tree. I reached for the wettex and began to wipe them off the leaves.
