NAIROBI, Kenya – Somali pirates attacked the Maersk Alabama on Wednesday for the second time in seven months, though private guards on board the U.S.-flagged ship repelled the attack with gunfire and a high-decibel noise device.
A U.S. surveillance plane was monitoring the ship as it continued to its destination on the Kenyan coast, while a pirate said that the captain of a ship hijacked Monday with 28 North Korean crew members on board had died of wounds.

Even before Barack Obama was elected to the presidency, Rupert Murdoch had declared war on him via the personalities of Fox News Channel, a subsidiary of Murdoch's media conglomerate, News Corp.
Since Obama's election, the cable channel's hosts and paid analysts have launched a full frontal assault on the president, smearing his nominees, calling him a racist and suggesting that his administration was trying to persuade disabled veterans to off themselves.
Now the fearmongers at Fox are crying foul since the president and his aides declared Fox not to be a news organization.

Just a month after the announcement that sometime actress Lindsay Lohan would serve as the "artistic adviser" to the floundering Ungaro brand, her quick-spun collaboration with head designer Estrella Archs has hit the runway. And, if you believe the buzz, it wasn't pretty.Nearly every media on-site media outlet has published negative reviews of the hastily-produced collection, which showcased heart pasties (some stuck to models heads) and panty-flashing minidresses.
