Things got off to a very good start today with Paramount Pictures as the first panel to kick off Comic-Con in San Diego Convention Center's monstrous Hall H. They brought with them a slew of goodies, including some casting announcements and footage.
Hot Rod
Paramount had so much to offer in their 2 hour slot that everyone was a bit rushed.

Nothing Earth shattering here, folks, but a damn good time. Cloverfield starts at the going away party for Rob, which is being thrown by his brother and his girlfriend. Everyone is having a good time, despite the fact that Rob is fighting with his best friend/ long time love, Beth.

I seriously don’t think any writers returned to work after the writers strike, because Hollywood has officially run out of ideas. There are no more, because we are now getting a “reboot” of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
This time even Joss Whedon had the sense to just say no.

Modern innovations inspired by the old "Star Trek" show: the cell phone, the flat-screen TV, and the Obama presidency.
The latter occurred to me as I watched J.J. Abrams dandy new "Star Trek" movie, which arrives amid polls showing that 80 percent of Americans continue to find President Obama personally likable.

The original Capt. Kirk is disheartened he won't get to boldly go anywhere with his old pal Spock in the new "Star Trek" movie. While Leonard Nimoy is reprising his role as the pointy-eared Vulcan in next year's science-fiction flick, William Shatner is not on board as Kirk.

Last night was a homerun!! The episode was called Cold Ground and it was for lack of better words brilliant. From beginning to end, the episode answered questions and asked new ones, but in a good way, not like that mess Lost tries to do.
