WERNERSVILLE, Pa. – In a cold dose of reality for reality TV, Pennsylvania's Labor Department has opened an investigation into whether the hit show "Jon & Kate Plus 8" is complying with state child labor laws.
The TLC series about two parents raising 8-year-old twins and 5-year-old sextuplets drew nearly 10 million viewers for its fifth-season premiere Monday — more than double the audience for its fourth-season finale several weeks ago — following media reports that the parents, Jon and Kate Gosselin, had cheated on each other.

Court docs: Octomom inks showbiz deal for tots
LOS ANGELES - Octuplet mother Nadya Suleman has signed agreements for each of her 14 children to earn $250 a day to star in a reality television show.
The contracts filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court guarantee the children will collectively earn about $250,000 over three years. The contracts require a judge's approval.

Does anyone watch this show? It must be so hard to want to do the show so you can spend time as a family without having to work ungodly hours to make ends meet but then lose all of your privacy.
instance, simply being photographed in a car with another woman can set off a firestorm of infidelity rumors, as is the case this week with Jon Gosselin of the hit show 'Jon & Kate Plus 8.'
