I have been so busy that I didn't have a chance to post last week, so this is sort of a 'best of 2 weeks' post. I acquired a lot of new music in the last 2 weeks. Some of it is good, but most of it i'll probably get rid of quickly.

I love sitting at my dining table on Sunday mornings while eating brunch and flipping through the pile of home & garden, environmental, architecture, design (namely: Azure, Natural Home, Adbusters, Plenty and whatever other magazine I might pick up a single copy of) magazines. Lately, I have been including a session of 'flipping' through digital versions of Plenty and other magazines as well, on my laptop. In order to cut back to just the 4 magazines I have a subscription to (which my roommate also reads, and which I always refer back to, even years later), digital magazines work really well!

Okay, I really liked Ima's ideas for Karma's room. But I have a few additional space saving ideas, since the room seems REALLY FREAKIN' SMALL.
Instead of a huge bookcase, why don't you mount shelves to the wall?

Excerpted from An Inconvenient Truth: The Planetary Emergency of Global Warming and What We Can Do About It, by Al Gore (Rodale, 2006)
When considering a problem as vast as global warming, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and powerless. But we need to resist that response, because this crisis will get resolved only if we as individuals take responsibility. By educating ourselves and others, by doing our part to minimize our use and waste of resources, by becoming more politically active and demanding change — in these ways and many others, each of us can make a difference.

I love love love fun and classy home goods. I like pillows, lamps, tables, chairs, and wall art that give a funky and young edge to the relatively classic pieces of furniture we have in our house. I also like to fill our home with things that will be stylish and make a statement.

Ok, as I type this on my laptop which is resting on my coffee table, I already feel the burn of my workout I just finished half an hour ago. Tomorrow could prove to be a very long day! Yikes.
