It's a clothes call for Lauren Conrad!
One month after the 23-year-old designer announced that she was taking a hiatus from her upscale clothing line, the Hills star reveals that she is launching a brand-new apparel line for Kohl's department stores.
"It is a California chic line," she tells Usmagazine.com of the new brand, called LC Lauren Conrad.

Just when you thought the drama between Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad was dying down on The Hills, Heidi ups the ante with her own clothing line just months after Lauren launched hers. At an event for clothing chain Anchor Blue in Los Angeles, Heidi confirmed her new project with the brand to PEOPLE, telling us “It’s going to be called Heidiwood, and I’m so excited I can’t even tell you!” But unlike Lauren’s line, where most pieces are over $100, Heidi is looking to “be very price-range oriented. I want all my fans to be able to buy it.

Though her days of battling Kristen Cavallari and Speidi in the realm of reality TV are officially behind her, no way is Lauren Conrad headed for the unemployment line. But she doesn't expect to run up the aisle to collect an Oscar, either. The small-screen star, best-selling author, fashion designer and spokesperson spent her week launching a second clothing line and finalizing a deal to convert her semi-autobiographical novel L.A Candy into a feature film.

LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s Top and Jeans
It’s been so long that I almost forgot that Lauren Conrad designed a clothing line for Kohl’s (or may be because I don’t really care lol), the exclusive brand LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s is slated to release in October.
The California-inspired clothing line is priced from $20 to $60, and will have wardrobe basics like jeans and knits. The first look is from Shape Magazine’s September 2009 issue where Lauren Conrad takes three Shape readers shopping and shares her get-dressed tips.

She might be a bona fide California beach girl, but even Lauren Conrad admits to slacking in the exercise department sometimes. For her second Shape cover (her first was January 2008), the New York Times best-selling author chats about her romance with actor Kyle Howard and her new clothing line for Kohl’s while sitting pretty for three very different cover shots. At the beginning of her relationship, Lauren admits to getting soft around the middle.

Remember Talan Torriero, the Laguna Beach cutie who enjoyed many romantic entanglements on the show (including one with bad girl Kristin Cavallari) before dropping out in season two?
The former reality star—and now actor—tells PEOPLE that those rumors about the show, and its spin-off, The Hills, being less than totally factual are, well, kinda true.
“They kind of found out who did what, who liked this person and who liked that person, and almost created characters,” says Torriero.
