So i often read in many fashion + beauty mags (i.e. Instyle, Allure etc) that you should exfoliate your lips so that your lipgloss or lipstick goes on nice and smooth. Now i totally agree but when i see suggestions that you use a soft toothbrush i think, "who thinks up this stuff!??".

STEPS TO ACHIEVE A POUTY LOOK USING MAKE-UP!
I have used MAC cosmetics for this tutorial. It is a good idea to have a good set of professional cosmetic brushes. For the end result of this look, use any sheer light brown color OR use your favorite bright lip color. Either way is fine. I have just chosen a more daytime look here with a sheer light brown.
Exfoliate your lips lightly and apply a moisturizing lip balm. Around the actual lip line, apply foundation and lightly powder.

So last Friday, I went to the Macy's Beauty Event at Philosophy. I wanted to try somethings and to replenish the skin care line I was running out of. I wanted to attend the event for the freebies and to try out products I have been eyeing.

This is everything, minus five items I pulled out for swapping.
This was actually a pretty exhausting task...so you'd better enjoy, or else :impatient:.
Anyways, I'll start with my favorite beauty product ever...

And here is the second half of the make-up history from the blog I posted the other day
Fifties Glamour With Max Factor
In the 1950s colour films made an enormous impact on cosmetics. The huge cinema screens illuminated the unblemished appearance of stars and caused the make up artist Max Factor to invent an everyday version of the foundation he used called “Pan Cake”. This was a makeup to gloss over skin imperfections.
