By now I'm sure you've all seen The Fray's new music video/tie-in with Lost season 5. I think Buzz featured it, it was on during Grey's Anatomy last week, and it's on ABC's web site as well. It's mostly old footage, but there's some new stuff sprinkled in: But, did you happen to notice the logo that flashes at 1:34 and 2:25?"Home" for the Holidays?
Most of my life I've often wondered why Thanksgiving seemed to be for many families a trigger word for family dysfuction. Why individuals couldn't just let that disagreement with another family member go for one bloody day and enjoy some good food and conversation with more pleasant family members. I have to keep reminding my self that I'm pragmatic by nature and that is apparently unusual. I found an article with some helpful tips. Maersk Alabama repels 2nd pirate attack with guns

NAIROBI, Kenya – Somali pirates attacked the Maersk Alabama on Wednesday for the second time in seven months, though private guards on board the U.S.-flagged ship repelled the attack with gunfire and a high-decibel noise device.
A U.S. surveillance plane was monitoring the ship as it continued to its destination on the Kenyan coast, while a pirate said that the captain of a ship hijacked Monday with 28 North Korean crew members on board had died of wounds.
Breaking into the colors
I must admit- I am not very good with wearing colors. I always wear black. When I look into my closet, I see blacks...call me boring but I can't help it. I just love it. Black has never disappointed me.
This has a lot to do with my mother. My mother worked in the fashion industry for many many years and her wardrobe staples are from Yohji Yamamoto, Comme Des Garcons and Issay Miyake...all in black.
It's not that I haven't made an attempt on colors. The reactions vary among friends and family. One day, I wore Elizabeth and James Lucinda dress in cerise. (BTW, this dress is so versatile: you can wear as a boat-neck, one shouler or strapless, with or without belt, even with statement necklace) My best friend Jenn said, "You, in a pink dress? You must have become soft."
Have I really become soft because I wear pink? Or has the fashion revolution started in my own closet? I think the latter. Every season I look into my closet and go through many magazines and all the fashion sites then I come up with "The List". That way, I won't go too crazy on impulsive buys such as I might wear it, only wear it once, or even might be able to fit into it if I lost weight....and I don't have to explain it to myself later.
So here are some from my list for this season:
I swear I am not having pink fever (Pink is a color I don't remember wearing when growing up)but I think this skirt is a must for the fall. It's super sexy and edgy at the same time. I wear it with Alexander Wang tank or Kain tees then my faux leather jacket will finish the look.

Lost Season Four - San Diego Comic-Con 2007
I'm really lucky I was able to get into this panel- they filled the second largest room at the center! Next year they'll have to hold this in the big hall. There were a lot of people turned away today, which is a darn shame because this was an amazing panel.Countdown to January LOST
